Virtual Telescope Osservatorio Bellatrix

Welcome to the Virtual Telescope website, an advanced service provided by the Bellatrix Astronomical Observatory and managed by Gianluca Masi. Thanks to modern technology, it is possible to connect - via the Internet - to the Observatory's instruments in order to do real-time research and imaging at a very small cost and with assistance from professional astronomers. This project differs from the few other similar facilities by virtue of its completeness and the wide variety of services offered. Prices, despite the technologically advanced instrumentation, are the cheapest available, and right now we also offer special introductory rates. The available instruments can fit the professional standards as well as the needs of those with an interest for the Universe. This isn't a commercial enterprise: with this service, it's possible to fund the research activities and the technological upgrades, keeping the Observatory running.

The Virtual Telescope also offers live shows and astronomical Labs, in real-time or with archived material (the latter being free). Of course, students and teachers can find in the Virtual Telescope a wonderful support while studing Astronomy and the many sciences involved: to them, the Virtual Telescope reserves a special attention.

The Virtual Telescope is currently working. For new users, a special welcome package is available. Some astronomical courses are also under development. Users can join the mailing list and our Forum.
